Intro to Bike Park

Fort Tuthill Bike Park - Flagstaff, Arizona

Saturday, August, 29th

9am-12pm

Ready to build confidence in the bike park? This clinic at Fort Tuthill in Flagstaff is for riders who want to progress at a bike park, without any pressure. You’ll work on core skills with a coach, ride alongside others, and see how those skills make you more confident and capable on singletrack. No prior bike park experience needed!

Fort Tuthill Bike Park is one of AMBA’s favorite places to teach and ride, with features that make it an ideal setting for learning foundational bike park skills. This environment can feel intimidating at first, but gaining bike park skills can have a powerful impact on your confidence, efficiency, and speed on the trail. The techniques you learn here translate directly to singletrack, helping you become a stronger, smoother rider everywhere you ride.

This co-ed clinic is open to riders who have some trail riding experience, but you do not need prior bike park experience. Our coaching approach is focused on helping you progress at your own pace, build strong fundamentals, and leave with more confidence on both bike park features and home trails.

Skills we’ll cover include:

  • Pumping and Berm corners

  • Wheel Lifts

  • Roll-downs and Drops

  • Intro to Jumping

  • Body position, balance, and speed control.

  • Bike park awareness and feature assessment.

The clinic includes coached instruction, plenty of practice time, and a chance to ride with other motivated riders in a supportive environment. After the clinic, stick around to connect with the AMBA team, enjoy a beverage, and ask questions about riding, technique, and progression!
